The Star
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
The star card is about inspiration, hope, renewal, balance, being above it all. We have this opportunity to heal, to just simply step back and relax and enjoy life for a moment. Or take the time to go to the day spa, go get your hair cut, do something that makes you feel good. And gentlemen, you need to go to the day spa too. It's not just the ladies. Again, we have the imagery of water. In some cards, the woman is pouring water out of a jug into a stream or a lake and in others she's standing in it halfway like one foot in and one foot out. So it's the same symbology as being in the flow and receiving healing while being anchored and safe on land or wherever it is. Home is a nice anchor as well because that's where you're safe. You can set aside the mundane work for a while and just Feed your spiritual needs while you're feeding your earthly needs. You can do both at the same time healing and being in balance.
The stars that are in most decks above the lady's head represents lofty heights as usual spiritual ascension spiritual understanding spiritual enlightenment she has there's generally trees around her and water of course it all represents nurturing and healing staying anchored while you heal Healing itself becomes something anchoring.
It can be very emotional because there's water, there's always emotions, but it can be emotional healing, which means we're healing from depression, we're healing from anxiety, we're healing from a broken heart. We're still maintaining some balance, but it's a time of rest and of healing. So there's really no downside to it. We're being grounded and we're being cleansed at the same time. You have strong mind-body-spirit connection. And we're happy, we're doing what we're supposed to do, balance has been achieved, we're but on vacation. So maybe it's time to come back from that. Maybe it's time to bring that peace with you into your everyday life. Bring the healing with you so that when you return from that retreat or when you return from vacation or that spiritual growth that you've just had, you can carry it with you like a cloak that it becomes part of who you are.
If the star is in the shadow position, it could represent that we're not feeding ourselves the way we should. We're slightly out of balance, but the possibility to be back in balance is still there. We've maybe lost a little bit of our connection to spirit. We're maybe letting go of our sense of self. We're spending way too much time doing spiritual work and we're ungrounded. And sometimes it's a we have to acknowledge our pain before we can even heal it. We have to admit we have a headache before we go get a painkiller. We have to admit our feelings were hurt. We have to reconcile to the fact that you can't heal it if you don't feel it if you don't admit to it if you don't own up as it were.
In that acknowledgement is also the healing. Yes, I've been hurt, now I can move forward. I don't have to live in that pain anymore. I can let it go.
So that's the downside of the star card. There isn't much of one, but it's just a call to heal yourself. Something's not quite right and the questions that you need to ask yourself or why are you not in balance? Why are you choosing this? Why are you choosing to sit in the darkness instead of the light? .....
